Richard is an up-and-coming copywriter at JE Consulting who joined the team in July 2023 to pursue a career in marketing.
Prior to joining us, Richard completed a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Politics from the University of Lincoln and a Master’s degree in International Political Economy from the University of Birmingham.
Before taking a year out to go hitchhiking from the coast of Estonia to the coast of Greece. Hitchhiking in strangers’ cars, lorries and vans taught Richard many things. Above all, everyone has an interesting story to tell.
In his new role with JE Consulting, Richard particularly enjoys interviewing, researching, and writing case studies for our clients.

Bosnian Burek followed by Turkish Baklava.
Favourite destination
North Macedonia will always have a special place in my heart.
Despite being a poor country, the food is incredible, the people are warm, and the scenery is breathtaking.
And best of all there are very, very few tourists.
Interests
- Travel to obscure places (Albania, Serbia, Bosnia, North Macedonia, etc).
- Reading American 20th Century literature (Hunter Thompson, Charles Bukowski, Ernest Hemingway, etc.) or Absurdist literature (Albert Camus, Franz Kafka, etc.).
- Fitness including running, the gym, squash, jiu jitsu, rock climbing and many more.
Who do you admire most, and why?
I admire my dad, despite (or perhaps because of) being in fierce competition with him in virtually all aspects of life.
If you could have one wish, what would it be?
To go on a tour of the best cafés on earth, sampling coffee and books.
Who would you most like to have dinner with?
Anthony Bourdain. In the hope that he would also act as the chef.
Then I would simply sit, eat nice food, drink beer and listen to his stories.
